Adorable snap catches Prince Harry making a little fan’s day

With his own military history, Prince Harry's genuinely passionate about the Invictus Games.

Prince Harry had time for everyone in Bath on Friday at the UK trials for the upcoming Invictus Games.

The royal was at the trials as the patron of the Invictus Games Foundation, a foundation he founded to host sporting events for wounded, injured or sick servicemen and women. And it’s a role he takes very seriously, travelling the world to promote and attend Invictus events – he’s due in Australia in October 2018, when Sydney hosts the Invictus Games.

But Prince Harry also knows when to be lighthearted, and he showed that yet again as he mingled with supporters at the trials, being held ahead of the Invictus Games in Toronto later this year. He found time to play with his little namesake, Harry Phillips, aged two-and-a-half.

Jester the dog also got some of the fun-loving prince’s attentions. Jester, who’s an old friend of Prince Harry’s, having met him three times before at various Invictus events, is a helper dog owned by former Royal Marine Jon Flint. Flint, who suffered a spinal injury that ended his 13-year career with the Marines, competes in archery at the games.

The royal cheered on athletes at the trials with the same enthusiasm. The Toronto games will be held in September.
