Cockroaches can transmit disease and spread bacteria all over your home. To get rid of them some people call pest control or just spray one of those insect killers. But if you’re looking for a cheap AND natural way to get rid of roaches, why not try this home remedy? One inexpensive way of getting rid of roaches as compared to the bills of pest control companies is to use this ingredient in your home – coffee grinds!

If you have ever noticed, roaches are attracted to coffee grounds that you leave in the kitchen, so use this to lure them and then eliminate them.

Here’s what you need:
1. A large glass jar
2. Wet coffee grinds
3. Water
4. A small cup

Instructions
Fill the glass jar with water, about halfway.
Put wet coffee grinds inside the cup and then place the cup inside the jar.
You can make as many of these as you like.
Place these jars where roaches like to hide or nest.
The aroma of the coffee grinds will attract the roaches to enter the jar and once they are inside the jar, they can’t escape from there.
Check the jars once a day and remove the roaches by flushing them down the toilet. You can repeat the steps and reuse the jars again until you see no roaches for days in your jars.

…so is the cup with coffee grinds floating in the jar of water?

“… once they are inside the jar, they can’t escape from there.” … So … why can’t the roaches crawl back out of the jar? If they can crawl up the outside of the glass jar to get in, why can’t they crawl back out?”

There is water sounding the cup of coffee grinds that’s inside the jar. They will either fall into the water or inside the cup. Either way they won’t be able to come out.

I sprinkle BORAX around when I see cockroaches and the next morning there are dead cockroaches on the floor. I started using this when a friend brought her dog and after I came back from holidays fleas jumped out of the carpet – so I sprinkled Borax for the fleas – they all went – and as a side benefit I sound dead cockroaches as well

  4. I sprinkle Bay Leaves around my cupboards, especially dark corners, haven’t had a roach in years. Told my daughter, now she does it too & hasn’t had a roach since.
