Jun 05, 2017

There is nothing worse than arriving at your destination, going through immigration and security at the airport, making your way to the luggage carousel and discovering that your luggage has been lost in transit.

Not only does that mean that you can’t make your way straight out of the airport, but you’ll have to chat to airport security staff to try and track down your suitcase and your all-important belongings.

This can be quite a stressful way to begin or end a holiday, but luckily there are a few ways to make sure that this doesn’t happen to you.

One great way to make sure you can get your bag back as soon as possible it to take a photo of the suitcase before you check it in. That way if you do have trouble locating your bag, you can quickly and easily show the airport staff exactly what your bag looks like.

Another great way to stop your bag from getting lost in transit is to make sure that if you have to organise a connecting flight, that you allow enough time between the flights so your luggage has time to make it onto the plane with you.

These two tips alone will not only help you avoid losing your luggage in the first place, but will also help you get it back safely and as soon as possible.
