Kitesurfer shocked by nasty surprise in the water

If you get the chance to get out on the water it is meant to be a fun and relaxing time. However, a kite-surfer enjoying the waters of the coast of Western Australia got a bit more adrenaline than she had hoped for.

A 30-year-old French blogger was making a video of her trip when she came face to face with something a bit bigger than a dolphin. Isabelle Fabre was shooting footage of her kite-surfing with a drone when the video caught a massive Great White Shark circling her as she was on the water.

Ms Fabre believes the share was at least two meters long and says she didn’t even notice the beast at first. Posting on her Facebook she wrote, “Then I thought it was a dolphin trick, you know when they spring out just in front of you. But no, it was circling me.

“When it passed beneath me, I realised it was a huge Great White shark.”

That was when the panic set in, Ms Fabre posted, “I was struggling to get my ass out of the water and thought ‘I am done”. It was also when she noticed her friend shouting for her to “get out”. She posted, “He saw everything through the drone and thought I was done too.”

Ms Fabre tried to surf back to shore but the wind was light and kept dipping her into the water. She wrote, “I saw my life parade in front of my eyes every time I felt myself touch the water.” She finally managed to get back to shore and was able to share the experience with everyone online. No doubt she’ll be making sure there is a stronger wind the next time she goes out on the water as she claims that the experience won’t stop her from kite-surfing again.

Have you ever had a close encounter with a shark? Would you go back in the water after something like this?
