How to increase your drawer space in your hotel room

Jun 05, 2017

Going on a holiday of a lifetime includes lots of different activities: evenings out to dinner, afternoon lunches, days out at the beach, or the snow, or the dessert. And for each of those occasions requires the perfect outfit.

You’ll need the perfect dress to wear on a night out, the cutest ski-bunny outfit possible for the slopes or a matching khaki suit that can take you from the safari to your sightseeing tour with seamless style.

But what if you find that your hotel room is lacking a little in the storage department? What then? Where do the gowns, dresses, blouses and trousers all fit? Well, luckily there are some great ways to save on space when you book into a hotel room, and all it takes is a bit forward thinking and planning.

All you have to do is be aware of the storage that you do have available in your hotel room. If there is a closet to hang some of your clothing, be sure to put those items away first. Then move onto the drawers and put any other items you can fit in there.

But if you are struggling and need to create some more drawer space in your hotel room, then there is the option of using your suitcase as a drawer. Simply fold up your remaining clothing items, place them into the suitcase and then slide it under the bed to keep it out of the way.

That way your clothes remain organised and easy to access, but they aren’t taking up precious space in your hotel room. This is a great tip if you’re looking to stay tidy during your holiday, while also packing along each and every piece of clothing that you’re likely to wear (and even a few that you probably won’t) while on holiday.
