1. Northern Territory

After spending some time in Sydney, Pippa and James have jumped in their plane and headed up to the Northern Territory. Pippa’s own sister, Duchess Kate and Prince William also visited Uluru in 2014. While Pippa and James are likely going to be whisked across the Top End by private jet, the rest of us commoners can experience an equally beautiful view on a hot air balloon tour of the region, take in the scenery of Kakadu National Park, Kings Canyon and don’t forget to take a stroll around Uluru.

2. The Pacific Islands

While Pippa and James might have shelled out more than more than £3,000 per night on their luxury island honeymoon in Tahiti – because you can do that when you’re related to royalty and your husband is a hedge fund tycoon. If you’re not a millionaire, though, and don’t have the budget to stay in the same place as Pippa, then not to worry, because the South Pacific is full of stunning locales to find a stretch of beach to roll your beach towel on. Along with Tahiti, there’s the Cook Islands, New Caledonia and Fiji.

3. The English countryside

Even the royals need a little downtime and where do they go to escape the stresses of life as a monarch? Well, they head to the picturesque English countryside, that’s where. Kate and Wills reportedly stayed in a private farmhouse in Anglesey in Wales during the first years of their marriage. How romantic! You could head along to the west of England to Cornwall and discover the maritime heritage of this part of the country. Take a walk and notice the Gothic architecture, and feast on the gourmet seafood options available. Royal family, eat your heart out!

4. Africa

There’s nothing like a good love story and Kate and Wills live up to their sweet royal romance reputation. Back in 2010, Kate and Wills visited Kenya — where Will’s granny first found out she would be Queen — and proposed on a privately-owned safari camp. It was far from a rustic experience, think more wilderness glamour, but you too can have a similar experience, with or without the local love story. Take in the wildlife and join one of the many safari excursions in the area, it will get your heart racing one way or another.
