How to guarantee you won’t forget any toiletries when you go on holiday

There is nothing worse than going on holiday and realising that not only did you forget to pack your toothbrush, but you also forgot almost half of your favourite cosmetics. Your favourite eyelash-plumping mascara? Nope. Your favourite moisturising cream? Definitely not. And your favourite eyebrow pencil? Well, that’s still sitting on your bathroom counter at home.

But surely there has to be a way to help us remember to bring all the makeup and toiletries we could possibly need while on holiday. Well, there is! And, thankfully, we’re here to help you remember to pack all your toiletries on your next big trip so you’re not caught out without anything, not even your favourite shade of lippy.

All you need to do in the week leading up to your big holiday is empty your makeup into a shoe box or a small suitcase (depending on how many toiletries you own!). Then, every time you use one of the items in the shoe box during the week before your trip, you get to put it back into your makeup bag.

Anything else that is left over in the shoe box doesn’t make the cut and has to be left behind when you go on holiday.

This is the perfect way to get an idea of what makeup you’ll really need on your holiday, but it might also be a bit of an eye-opener about what cosmetics that you have lying around and never actually get around to using.

The next time you plan a holiday and want to make sure all your makeup and toiletries make it into your luggage, pull out an old shoebox, empty out your makeup bag and make sure that all your makeup comes with you.
