It’s a worry many people have when they go on holiday: how on earth can you protect yourselves from thieves trying to get their hands on your property. There are a whole variety of ways that travellers can protect themselves while on vacation, but there is one way which really works.

If you’ve got a beach getaway coming up soon, but worry about how you’re going to protect your valuables while you’re in the water. Then this tip is going to blow you away.

You might not think that a nappy can come in handy all that much on a holiday, unless you have grandchildren to take care of, but it is one item that you are going to want to take with you on your next beach adventure.

When you decide to go for a swim in the water, but want to leave your keys, wallet, phone or other valuables on the towel while you’re going for a dip, instead of just popping them into a bag, or wrapping them some items of clothing, do this instead.

Bring a nappy with you, pop your items inside and then wrap the nappy up to make it look used. If you place that item on your beach towel, people are going to keep as far away from it as possible and you’ll have no worries at all about people getting their mitts on your belongings.

The only thing you’ll have to remember is that if you place your mobile phone in the nappy, make sure you put it on silent. You don’t want a ringing nappy to ruin your secret hiding place.
