While overseas travel can be a whole lot of fun, one of the least fun elements of a trip has got to be all the packing you have to do before you go.
Not only do we have to remember to pack all our favourite clothes, but we have to make sure we pack each of the toiletries we’re likely to use and leave out the ones we won’t.
Thankfully, there is a whole host of tips and tricks that can help make packing so much easier, but this is one that will make packing for a holiday an absolute cinch each and every time.
There is a catch with this travel tip, though, because you have to have gone on a trip to take advantage of it. All you have to do is leave your travel items that you’re not likely to use in your everyday life in your suitcase.
Of course you’re going to take out your clothing and give them a good wash and dry, but there are items that you will only use when on a holiday and they can stay in your suitcase until your next trip.
These items include things like your adapters, your money belt, neck pillow and other travel items that you’ll need while on holiday.
The great thing is, you won’t have to run around like a headless chicken in the lead up to your trip looking for where you stuff all these travel incidentals, they’ll all be exactly where you need them – in your suitcase!
Another great idea is to write up a big list of items that you pack into your suitcase and then leave that list inside for the next time you go away. That way you’ll know exactly what you do and don’t need.
You might also like to revisit the list and cross off anything that you found that you didn’t need after all.
