If you’re crazy about the Top End then you’ll love this new movie focusing in on the best of the Northern Territory, from its incredible culture to all the hidden gems and most beautiful sights.

And even better, it’s Aussie made!

The highly-anticipated film, Top End Wedding, is a fun romantic comedy starring Aussie actress Miranda Tapsell and Bohemian Rhapsody star Gwilym Lee, with the hit directed by Wayne Blair.

It tells the story of successful Sydney lawyer Lauren (Tapsell) and her fiancé Ned (Lee). The young characters have just 10 days to find Lauren’s mother, who has gone missing somewhere in the Northern Territory, reunite her parents and pull off their dream wedding.

The film promises to showcase the best of the Top End and will be screened in some of the spectacular locations it was filmed at, as part of the Northern Territory Travelling Film Festival (NTTFF). Better still, it will set you back just $19 per ticket – with some locations even offering free screenings.

If you’re heading up that way, why not stop at some of these beautiful locations yourself to see them first-hand?

From Nitmiluk National Park to the Mercure Kakadu Crocodile Hotel, some of the NT’s most iconic spots feature in the film. Others include the Darwin Deckchair Cinema, Edith Falls in Nitmiluk National Park and the Gove Arts Theatre in Nhulunbuy.
