It’s known for its incredible sales and Special Buys promotions, and supermarket giant Aldi has now finally announced the date of its highly anticipated snow gear sale for 2019.
Skiing has become hugely popular among many Australian families over the past few years, thanks to cheap flights to Japan and neighbouring New Zealand, but the ski gear itself isn’t always affordable.
Now, Aldi has confirmed its annual ski gear Special Buys event will start on Saturday, May 18, seeing prices slashed on seasonal gear including ski jackets, pants and boots.
The supermarket chain confirmed the date to Travel at 60 after rumours of the sale started to circulate on social media groups dedicated to the German retailer earlier this week.
However, the date of the sale clashes with another significant day for Australians — the federal election.
Past sales have caused chaos, with thousands of customers lining up to get their hands on the best deals. Last year, shoppers were treated to $59.99 ski jackets and ski helmets for $24.99.
This year, shoppers will also have the chance to win more than $30,000 in prizes including ski weekends at Perisher Ski Resort.
Items will be available in stores Australia-wide, while stocks last (so get in quick). More information is yet to be released about specific deals.
