Your Say: Where have all the inspirational political leaders gone?

The day after the passing of one of the most memorable leaders in history, Nelson Mandela, we sit back to reflect.  Why is it that the last generation brought so many significant, inspirational political and world leaders and today all we can conjure up is beige, middle of the road, largely uninspiring politicians.

The last generation of political leaders brought us inspirational and sometimes polarising people that took a firm stance on human rights issues, fiscal issues, and community building.  They led us in global and local decision making by practicing what they preached and being passionate about their causes.

Today I ask you to have your say, as we remember Nelson Mandela.  Why are the political leaders of today so uninspiring?  Have they not had time to leave their legacy yet?  Or have I got my opinion all wrong?
