Dame Helen has shimmered on the red carpet at the premiere of her new film Collateral Beauty in New York.

The 71-year-old had her usual grace, elegance and poise in a silvery-blue dress with shimmering floral patterns.

But it was her accessories that stole the show.

Dame Helen wore a blue floral coat and blue fake fur jacket over the top, with a cleverly placed badge that has a love heart and the word fur crossed out.

She paired the look with a pair of light blue heels and a blue clutch.

In an interview last week, she revealed she didn’t want to use the colour black to represent her character Death in the film.

Instead, Dame Helen did some research and found out that the bluebird is a symbol of death in some cultures.

That’s why her character wears blue in the film!
