What do you like to do on New Year’s Eve? Is it a night where you catch up with the same group of friends each year? Will you be on holidays in some exotic location?

Most of us tend to see the New Year in with our nearest and dearest. It should be a night filled with fun and laughter, reminiscing about the year that was. It is time to count our blessings and ponder what might be in store for us in the year ahead.

This New Year’s Eve, I am going to be all rugged up in the snow, in the Rocky Mountains. I will be with my husband, daughters and sister – who knows what we will get up to, but as long as I am with them, I know it will be a good night.

I would like to take this opportunity to wish you all a Very Happy New Year. Thank you for being a part of this wonderful community here at Style at 60. May 2016 be a year where all of your dreams come true.

Here are some New Year’s Eve party looks to get you in the mood for seeing the new year in!

  1. I will be wearing something I already own, having dinner and seeing the New Year in with my granddaughter, we have been doing it now for 6 years. 🍤 🍰 🎼 🎉

  2. Shorts and T-shirt at home.

In the 80s I used to charter a boat on Sydney Harbour for the night. Break even was 30 and we usually got 50. It was BYO we had a DJ and the profit we made on the night went to a charity.

When we were getting off the boat we would book for the next year.

Nothing like being out on the water right under the fireworks. B|

  3. I’ve warned everyone to bring their sunnies as I will be wearing a Very Bright Blingy long frock by Ruby Yaya to a rooftop party to watch the Fireworks on the harbour! Don’t even know if I need to wear the added bling around the neck!

    • I do hope so Jacqui! They could all the fire brigade!! It’s very Bollywood, which I love, and at the moment I need in all the colour in the world to lift me up☺️

    • Oh I’m glad you think so Karen. Every time I walk past that room I glance in and start to chicken out! I got it at a pop up stall in the shopping mall. She was just packing up and I saw that on top of the pile.I choked over the price and made her adjust it twice.I don’t think she’d had a good day, because she told me she’d adjust even further if I would pay cash! So I came away feeling rather ecstatic, as I love a bargain and I certainly got one!
