Creamy mustard potatoes 14

Looking for a different way to make your potatoes with dinner this weekend? This creamy recipe is so delicious, it’ll become a new favourite.


  • About 12 small chat spuds pricked
  • A third of a cup milk
  • Two thirds cup cream
  • 2 tablespoons seeded mustard
  • Handful grated parmesan cheese
  • Handful chives (optional)


  1. Place spuds in baking dish
  2. Mix cream milk and seeded mustard in saucepan and heat to just below boiling. Take off heat and stir in parmesan and chives.
  3. Bake at 180° for 45 mins, turning every 15 mins then up heat to 220° for another 15 to crisp cheese.

  1. They would be wonderful, but my husband doesn’t eat, sour cream, rice, phile cheese, cream, Mayo, pasta, anything white. I only dream. Oh yes. I don’t like seeded mustard!,!Till the next recipe comes along.

You can do so many things with potatoes, this one sounds great, but my favourite is mashed potatoes ,sometimes just with chopped onion, sometimes with celery and grated cheese, sometimes shallots, chives, parsley or any combination of anything that takes your fancy but for me the mashed potatoes must not be sloppy like you usually get in a restaurant.
