Prince Harry’s message to Usain Bolt is a cheeky one

Prince Harry and Usain Bolt have made no secret of the fact that they are fast friends, and the young royal has found a very cheeky way to send his best wishes to the Olympic champion on the occasion of his 30th birthday.

Kensington Palace’s official Twitter account featured a little teaser post before Harry’s well wishes: “We were also watching the sprinting closely last week and have a special message for one of the competitors on his birthday…”

This was followed by Prince Harry taking over to post a tongue-in-cheek message to the world record holder, saying, “Congratulations @usainbolt – now you’re officially the greatest you might be ready for a re-run! Happy 30th –H.”

Fans of the pair loved Harry’s tweet and were quick to respond with rematch suggestions.

“Maybe London 2017? Opening event Usain v Harry!” one user enthusiastically posted.

The pair met back in 2012 during Prince Harry’s royal tour of Jamaica, and have been fast friends since. The photo that accompanied his tweet was from a race they had back then, showing Prince Harry beating the Jamaican sprinter.

Did you know that the young royal and the Olympian sprinter were friends? Would you like to see a rematch?
