Michelle Obama has absolutely spanked Donald Trump in a speech overnight without even saying his name.  The first lady, and the first black lady of the United States has urged Americans not to “stoop to their level” in her speech

“Don’t stoop to their level. Our motto is, when they go low, we go high.”

“The hateful language… from public figures on TV does not represent the true spirit of this country,” she said at the  Democratic National Convention in Philadelphia, making her support clear for Hillary Clinton.

“Because of Hillary Clinton, my daughters and all our sons and daughters now take for granted that a woman can be president of the United States,” she said.

“So, look, don’t let anyone ever tell you that this country isn’t great, that somehow we need to make it great again. Because this right now is the greatest country on earth!”

She took a direct shot at Donald Trump’s  “Make America Great Again” campaign slogan, and talked about raising her children in a White House that was built by slaves.
“Don’t let anyone tell you that this country isn’t great. This right now is the greatest country on earth,” the first lady said.

  1. ‘hysterically’ _ surely that isn’t the right word?? I didn’t see anything hysterical. Can’t imagine Michelle even verging on hysterical.

  2. No hysteria there: a measured and powerful speech from a very competent person.

  3. I agree with the sentiment expressed in the article above but like others am concerned about the use of the word hysterically in the header. Very misleading – its like spell checker changed the authors original word and replaced it with this inappropriate word to describe a very “passionate speech by a confident and competent speaker. There was nothing hysterical about this woman in her style and in her choice of wards.

  4. Such a wonderful speech, not sure it was hysterical in any way, shape or form though. She is so warm and eloquent, and will be missed from public life.

  5. She is a great lady and, together with her great husband Barack, she has shown Americans how to ignore Trump. If Americans believe that their country is great, they will ignore Trump on election day when he claims to make America great again. It is a bit like Reclaim Australia, we have never lost it so what is there to reclaim.

    • We never lost it Hahaha my place of work changed Christmas Party to Festive Party as we had Muslims in our office. Many Schools don’t allow Christmas trees or they are not allowed to sing Christmas songs. What Australia do you live in not the real one ….Oh that’s right the leftie fairy tree green hugging one. I hope Trump wins The Obama’s are partly to blame with what’s going on in the States now…Guess what Americans your country is far from great at the moment. You are turning on each other. The rest of the Western world are gob smacked at the state that your country is in. Let the people decide who they want and really see of Clinton has the support …I doubt she does.
