Carrie Fisher’s quirky urn will give you inspiration for your own ashes

You might remember reading this morning about Carrie Fisher and Debbie Reynolds combined funeral?

Well, now it’s emerged how Fisher’s ashes have been buried – and it’ll give you plenty of inspiration for your own ashes if you choose to be cremated.

Apparently, one of Fisher’s most prized possessions was an oversized porcelain prozac pill – a testament to her struggles with mental health issues.

And that’s what her ashes has been buried in as an urn.

Some are heralding it as Fisher’s last bit of advocacy for mental health, while others on social media are pointing to it as another reason why Fisher is an icon.

Her brother Todd Fisher told reporters after his sister and mother’s funeral that the antique prozac pill was “Carrie’s favourite possession”

“She loved it, and it was in her house, and Billie and I felt it was where she’d want to be,” he said.

“We couldn’t find anything appropriate. Carrie would like that.

“It was her favourite thing, and so that’s how you do it. And so they’re together, and they will be together here and in heaven, and we’re OK with that.”

He also gave an update on the family and told reporters the family was planning a public memorial service for Fisher and Reynolds.

“Everybody’s as settled as we can be, and we’re not going to go any further,” Todd Fisher said.

“We’ll have a bigger service down the road for the public and all the family friends, but this was a private family service and we’re — it was fitting and it was beautiful.”

Now, let’s think about it.

Think about your favourite thing in your house – maybe it’s a vase or a pot or something beautiful you own.

Wouldn’t it be cooled to be memorialised in that?

Either way, there’s no denying that Carrie Fisher will definitely be at peace being buried next to her mum in her favourite possession.
