Would you rather be a police officer or a politician?

When you were a kid what did you want to be when you grew up? While some wanted to become film stars, artists, or a musician, some do dream of becoming a police officer. Did you or someone you know dream of being a politician?

The idea of a young John F. Kennedy as a five-year-old walking around his house giving speeches and debating policies sounds like the start of a comedy sketch, but it’s more likely that he wanted to be a Hollywood Playboy. Some would argue that he did both.

Being a police officer or a politician are amazing ways to giving back to your community in different ways. As a politician, you can help create change for the better in your community by bringing the concerns and needs of your electorate to the government. Police uphold the law while keeping people safe and being symbols of community security.

It is easy to focus on the bad apples that have brought both positions into ill repute, let’s discuss those who do the job for the right reasons.
