What Pisses Me Off: Sausages, varicose veins, men’s jocks, toothaches and Christmas shopping 78

What pisses me off

Christine is back with a vengeance – more things are pissing her off than ever!

1.Sausages versus cigarettes. Oh please, the media are at it again stating sausages are as bad as cigarettes. I have never smoked but I have certainly eaten my fair share of sausages during the course of my life and I am going to keep eating them. I might even barbecued one and let it burn and then eat it. Grilled or fried bangers are one of my favourite foods and if the media rubbish was correct and sausages did cause cancer, considering the amount I have eaten, I should be extremely dead by now. The media and their ridiculous beat ups piss me off!

2. I bought myself a couple of pair of knee length shorts and I am very happy with them as they are cool and comfortable. I was seriously considering buying more until this one particular day I said to Mum I am just going to fly up the shop and check the mail. She said, “Oh please, don’t wear those shorts they look dreadful”! Personally I would have thought the duct tape wrapped round my foot holding a corn pad in place would have been more of an issue for her but no, she hates my shorts because my varicose veins are visible. I do not give a flying fig if people find my varicose veins offensive, they are a part of me! If people don’t like seeing them, too bad!

3. A pair of men’s underpants have been laying on the road for well over a week now. The first time I saw them was on a Thursday morning making me wonder what sort of night was had by the owner because they have Wednesday written on the band. Those poor jocks have been hit by careless drivers and not one driver has shown any concern for them! The entire matter was starting to piss me off then on the very next day while on a different walk I looked ahead and saw something blue under a tree I thought maybe it was an injured bird and as I got closer I could see it was not a bird, it was another pair of mens underpants! Now I know what it means if coins or butterflies appear from nowhere but what the hell does it mean when mens jocks keep appearing? If you say I am going to meet the man of my dreams, I have probably already met him and knowing me I probably told him to “Get lost”.

4. I have a toothache and it is really pissing me off.

5. Early November I received $800 in vouchers from Chrisco, getting them every year is one of the best decisions I have ever made! Those vouchers eliminate all the stress of having enough money to cover the festive season. My christmas shopping is all done and presents are wrapped and it is not even December. I have no doubt now that I have used all the vouchers the shops will now have amazing sales on everything I bought and I will not allow it to piss me off!

  1. What pisses me off is all the NASTY comments I read on here from people who think they have the right to attack other people who dare to voice their own opinion on SAS. Because it’s not on!

    • Right on Trish. I had a female on this site last week, after I had made a comment, tell me to “settle pettle (sic)”, I guess she meant petal, & call me “my dear” !! At 68, I am no other woman’s “my dear”, & found that comment to be quite patronising. And that PISSED ME OFF, lol..

    • It use to upset me Robyn however not anymore, if anyone thinks they have the right to attack me their history because I won’t put up with it, I block them without a second chance.

    • I block, I have taken more than my share of abuse in here. I try to laugh at most things because if you let people sour your day they have won..just block, you would not want to know these people anyway

    • Agree Rosalind, I don’t want to know anyone who thinks their opinion is more important than anyone else, they have inflated ego’s of themselves.

    • Trish, I’m not one to normally “react” about others’ comments but on that particular day it really hit the wrong spot for me. It was more to do with the patronising language rather than the comment. It’s not WHAT is said, but HOW it is said..

    • I have no idea how to block people. Can someone tell me as sometimes I’d like to do that, especially to some of those that resort to abusive name calling.

    • Jeanette and Lee you can simply go to your Facebook settings, select BLOCK then type the persons name in, people by their hat name will appear on your screen to choose the right person then select BLOCK, done.

  2. I don’t like her vulgar expression of what she doesn’t like. Shows lack of class

    • What on earth is vulgar, maybe you should lighten up and see this fir what it is a light hearted blog of fun.

  3. Christine is a gem, my gripe is all the housework that always has to be done even with only one person living in the house the amount of work never changes

    • Me too. One person and a small dog yet the floors still need to be washed weekly and dusting done and sheets washed and windows and curtains washed. It’s never ending.

  4. I am not a particularly pissed off kind of person these days. But oh my goodness I was once!!
Packaging that is unnecessary or hard to get open still gets to me a bit.

  5. My Dad used to say about my long shorts or my short pants….your knees need to have a party and invite your pants down, or your ankles need to hold a party and invite your pants down. He especially hated short pants.

  6. Try being diagnosed with a fatal disease. Small things no longer matter. Enjoy while you can and appreciate life!

    • Living is a fatal disease…wishing you love, light and health.Every day is a blessing…no time to waste energy on being pissed off…my take anyway…xxxx

    • In 1989 my wife at 43 years of age was diagnosed with an inoperable kidney cancer, as she sat in her bed in the Hospital the Doctor gave her a choice to either have the kidney removed and maybe get 3 months or leave everything as it was and maybe get 12 months. As calm as a cucumber she said that she would take the 12 months and to get me out of this place. We had a 6 year old at the time and she used every minute of that time going about her normal routine and passed on practically to the day the Doctor had predicted. I wish you all the best Robyn and never give up hope

    • So sorry for your sad loss,Owen.I’m sure that every little minute in that twelve months became the most precious ever.

  7. I wear my long shorts and love them…I forget one knee looks like it was attacked by a shark in 1978 from some extensive surgery…I earnt those scars 🙂

    • If they are looking that close…its a worry…in all these years only one woman was rude enough to comment on my leg…their problem not mine…I wear long tops over my shorts which are high waisted because thats how I feel comfortable…love it 🙂
