Unique ways to display your photos around your home

These days, almost everyone has accessibility to a camera. If not the traditional type, there’s always a phone camera at hand. Instead of just uploading all the wonderful memories you take to social media, or just letting them stay as a stack of forgotten memories in a drawer somewhere, why not adorn your home with them? If you don’t have enough photo frames, no problem, here are some creative ways to display your memories without them:

  1. Photo collage: This collage is a great way to get in touch with your crafty side. It is a cheap and easy way to display your photos, especially when you have a lot of them. Just take a giant foam board and either colour it or leave it plain, and add your photos to it.
  2. Cardboard frames: Have empty toilet paper and paper towel cardboard rolls? Use them to make simple, natural-tone frames. If you’d like to add a bit of colour to your ‘frame’, just spray paint it the colour of your choice.
  3. Chalkboard wall: If you have a wall to spare or one that you were reconsidering painting, use chalkboard paint on it. Stick up your photos on it using blu-tack, and use chalk to get creative with the frames, or even to write memories associated with that photo.
  4. Geometric wiring: Using twine, create a design of your choice, and use clothes pegs to hang up your photos along the twine. This will give the space a rustic and cosy feel too.
  5. Canvas frames: A lot of hobby stores have sales often for stretched canvases, and these can make for really cheap and beautifully simplistic frames – just stick your photos in the centre of the canvas.
  6. Photo mobile: Hang your photos cut up in various shapes and sizes and add coloured paper cutouts as well. Just use a needle and thread through the paper and photo cutouts, and tie them up to make a mobile.
  7. PVC pipe: Use a PVC pipe as a vase, and use the photo of your choice pasted around it to make a memento out of it.
  8. Decorative tape: Just paste your pictures on an empty space and use decorative tape to frame it the way you choose.
  9. Branch and twine: This would be very similar to the photo mobile, except you can use a fallen tree branch to hang photos from using twine.
  10. Door and window frames: Have an old door or window frame you have no use for? Use them as a frame for multiple photos.
