Save space and see all your clothes at once by folding them this way

Do you ever have trouble finding that favourite T-shirt because it’s at the bottom of the drawer? It’s impossible to pull it out without making a mess of the rest of the clothes.

There’s a new method for folding clothes which makes every item visible and able to be removed with ease. The KonMari method works by having clothes placed vertically in the drawer rather than on top of each other.

This method was created by Japanese Organising Consultant Marie Kondo. Her 2011 book The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up: The Japanese Art of Decluttering and Organizing has taken the world by storm and created a whole culture of decluttering and minimalism. Kondo’s methods, also known as KonMari, involve keeping only the items that “spark joy” in your life and organising tips for what’s left over.

It takes a little time at first to get all of your clothes folded the same way but once you’ve done it, you’ll wonder why you ever did it any other way!

Watch the video above for how to fold a T-shirt using the KonMari method. You can apply this technique to all your clothes and soon you’ll be showing off your picture perfect closet to family and friends!
