Our Community Cares: IVF grandchild

A community member wrote to us this week asking for some advice:

“My daughter is in the process of donating ovum to her girlfriend. She’s been implanted once last week with more in the freezer for backup. I have one IVF grandchild. There will be no others. I’m in a strange place, emotionally. Kinda makes me a grandma again. This is something my mother would not have had to deal with. Any other grandmas having to deal with this situation? Any advice welcome on how to deal with this situation emotionally”
