We never get tired of shelter dogs with happy endings, and this beautiful shelter dog Benny is one of those lovely stories that will make your Boxing Day. Penny a pit bull was selected at just 8 months old to be taken home by a new owner and his display of affection and happiness is enough to bring tears to your eyes.

He was rescued from the Carson Animal Care Shelter in Los Angeles. His walk to freedom with his new family shows him leaping for joy like he’s just been rescued from near certain death.

This special little guy captured the hearts of everyone who stopped by his kennel. He hit the jackpot when this beautiful family chose to take him home.   1. Let me at the world ! ‘ said Benny. A harness instead of the rope would have been preferable though. Not good for his larynx a rope cutting into it. Hopefully a happy furever loving home where respect and care is shown to Benny is the outcome

  2. My DOG is a next door dog given TO US as she is a working cattle dog and was starting TO heal his wife HE still puts food OVER the fence FOR her she hasn’t forgotten him but we are special IN her heart AND has the best possible life hmmmm

  3. we had this experience earlier this year, a great feeling for both dog and us, being isulated for so long they do demand a lot of attention and they pay with affection, no complaints here.
