Jury duty notice 53

View Profile

Just as she was celebrating her 80th birthday, our friend received a jury-duty notice. She called the clerk’s office to remind them that she was exempt because of her age.

“You need to come in and fill out the exemption forms,” the clerk said.

“But I filled them out last year,” she replied.

“You have to fill them out every year”

“Why? Do you think I’m getting younger?”

  3. bureaucracy gone mad again when will the people working for government agencies stop being so stupid and point out to their supervisors that the powers that make these rulings are ridiculous and need to be updated as they are so archaic; instead of just doing their job and not caring or taking any responsibility to fix these idiotic rules. The buck stops with them….wake up you idiots do your jobs properly then maybe just maybe senior citizens will stop being inconvenienced with your stupid rules. Like to see how you get on in your 80’s if you will be as tolerant as our elderly citizens have been of your stupid rules. Get a back bone and don’t be so inconsiderate.
