This track kickstarted the UK disco scene in 1974

This song almost missed out on becoming a hit, but went on to sell 11 million copies worldwide.

The iconic disco tune was initially set to be released as a B-side but was changed to the A-side of the single at the last minute.

Initially, the track’s performance was relatively low, receiving little airplay on the radio during the first five weeks of its release. Gaining popularity in British nightclubs, the track soon entered the UK singles chart at number 42.

From here, the songs popularity snowballed and saw it positioned at number one in the UK charts later that year, where it stayed number one for three weeks.

In addition, the tune judo chopped its way into the number one position in no less then 17 countries.

Can you guess the name of this signature dance tune?
