This single was undoubtedly the biggest hit of Jonnie Taylor’s career. It was the first single to make platinum as rated by the RIAA and was rated the 3rd best song for 1976.

Interestingly, it was one of the first disco songs to make number one on the billboard charts not just the the RnB charts.

The song Disco Lady has since appeared on popular television shows such as ‘That 70s Show’.
