Little Peggy March made this song famous this day in 1963. Interestingly, the song is an English translation of the French song ‘Chariot’ which was a hit in both France and Berlin a year earlier. The original singer Petula Clark also recorded an English version however it was not successful.

The song ‘I Will Follow Him’ has since been used in famous movies such as ‘Sister Act’ and ‘Scorpio Rising’.
