One of our biggest exports had her first American number one today in 1974 and went on to become a household name. The song title was slightly different for its Australian release but there’s no confusion when it comes to its popularity here and abroad.

Only 4 years before this singer had her debut film role in one of the most popular musicals of all time, this single won the Grammy Award for Record of the Year at the 17th Grammy Awards in 1975. This song also features in the musical The Boy From Oz but was re-recorded by another artist, as well as on the radio in the film Jaws (1975).

Going on to sell over 2 million copies, this song is a true classic.
