It’s always a good trip down memory lane when you see a toy you used to play with when you were a kid.  Kids today will look back at apps they played with because of they iPads! We thought it would be great fun to have a look back at some of the biggest toys of the days gone by. Join us as we remember those fun and happy days!

The Starts at 60 writers team seek out interesting topics and write them especially for you.

  1. I loved riding my rocking horse, trike, scooter, go-cart, then bicycle!

    Had a Hills swing, canvas paddle pool, skittles, chopsticks, doll’s house, Chinese checkers, cards, & dominoes’.

    Then there were the colouring-in, & painting books, plaster of Paris mounds, plasticine, blackboard, & coloured chalk!

    Made mud pies’, & built cubbies’. Climbed tress’, had a surf o’ plane for swimming the waves’.
    Scoured rock pools, went fishing in creeks, wore cowboy outfits, & had a tent, then at 9, started riding horses’.

    It’s a wonder here was time to go to School!
