We still think you rock: Bindi tries her best on DWTS with sprained ankle

In her third week on Dancing With The Stars, Bindi Irwin has done a wonderful quickstep, although it wasn’t enough to get the top score on the night.

Her previous two performances were ranked highly among the judges but last night her sprained ankle let her down.

“Tonight’s dance is something I’m so excited for you to be a part of. It’s been a big week & looking forward to @DancingABC #TheJeffersons,” Irwin tweeted before the show. Sadly, in rehearsals, our golden girl hurt her foot.

Despite her injury, Bindi gave the routine her best shot, dancing the foxtrot to the theme song from TV sitcom The Jeffersons.

The judges’ reviews were mixed, reports News Corp. “You’re always a joy to watch. Unfortunately this was not your best dance,” said judge Julianne Hough.

“Just make sure [of] the body contact. There was a lot of space between you”. Another judge, Bruno Tonioli said he loved her energy but she needs to learn to control it. Either judge made those comments in the last couple of weeks so hopefully it’s just a one-off for the daughter of Australian legend, Steve Irwin.

The final score was 32 out of 40 but thankfully Bindi is still in the top spot with her partner Derek Hough.

At the end of the performance he said about his vivacious dance partner, “I’m in absolute awe of this woman, this girl, she’s amazing”.

Bindi assured fans that she thinks her foot will be better by next week, and we just know she’ll be incredible!
