The Queen is now hiring

Hear ye, hear ye… The Queen needs a dishwasher!

Her Majesty is looking for a number of new employees to help out at both Windsor Castle and Buckingham Palace across a range of different skill sets.

So if you’ve ever wanted to get up close and personal with the royal family, now is your chance!

The Royal Household website is advertising for a kitchen porter, a daily cleaner, a linen keeper, a cataloguer and a curatorial intern.

Whoever is successful in securing the positions will enjoy a comfortable pay package and a 15% employee contribution pension scheme, plus meals provided throughout the day and the option to live-in.

Who wouldn’t want to be housemates with the Queen?!

Unlike many employers who demand years of experience in the role, it seems the Queen isn’t too fussy and will provide training and development programs to anyone who comes on board.

There have been numerous reports about what it’s really like to work for the Queen, with some past employees saying there is a lot of competition between staff to secure a position working closely with the Queen.

Others have said it is a great job, but you have to watch out for the corgis which regularly trip up unsuspecting footmen.

There were reports of one footman who put whiskey in the dogs’ water bowl, much to the delight of his fellow workers, but when he was found out he was quickly demoted by Her Highness.

Moral of the story? The Queen is a great lady to work with, but do not mess with her pups.

Do you know anyone who would want to work for the royals? Should SAS go and work for the royals? You know how much we love them…?
