Should more politicians be like Obama?

In a first for politics, President of the United States, Barack Obama has just set up a twitter account for himself. Not one that his secretaries or the White House officials manage, but his very own – all for himself!

Normally political advisers and public relations gurus would claim that a politician with their own creative license to speak to millions of people at any time without approval or serious proof reading is an absolute hazard… But Obama has already proved them wrong!

Tweeting under the handle @POTUS (President of the United States) his Twitter description is, “Dad, husband, and 44th President of the United States.”

Isn’t that refreshing to see a politician who isn’t driven by his ego and considers his family roles as more important than anything else!

Then, he began firing his first tweets and some of them were hilarious!

His first showed his excitement at finally getting Twitter…

Then the Oval Office also gave him a shout out, with a picture of Obama proving his proficiency in tweeting skills…
