Ringo Starr has a pretty enviable life. The 75-year-old is still touring with his band, travelling the world, talking to fans, gazing at full moons, eating noodles and apple pie. How do we know this?
Because Ringo Starr loves Twitter.
No, he really, really loves Twitter. In an interview with The Independent newspaper in the UK, the former Beatle explained that the social media platform has given him a new lease on life.
“I am trying to move into the modern world,” he grins. “I love Twitter! I love it because some of them love me and some of them don’t! But that doesn’t bother me at all. Some of them are just miserable people who’ve got nothing better to do. And I’m still spreading peace and love.”
Ringo’s Twitter feed is full of happiness, emojis and yes, there’s lots of peace and love. The vegetarian drummer is prolific and unequivocally positive, which makes it a great place to hang out if you’re ever feeling down.
Here are some examples of what Ringo Starr tweets on a day-to-day basis:

Ringo also told The Independent that he has lost none of the passion that propelled him to stardom all those years ago. “Nobody understands it (performing). This is what I do – I’m not an electrician. And when I started, the dream at 13 was to play, and only drums. I just really loves to play the drums. I love to entertain as well …”
Ringo joined his friend Paul McCartney on stage this year when Ringo was inducted into the Hall of Fame as a solo artist., “I still hang out with Paul. And when we play together it’s still a thrill for me … It’s just like memory. Paul plays great. He’s still the finest bass player, and he’s lucky I’m the finest drummer!”
