Richard Gere turns heads in small Italian town

We all love ourselves a bit of Richard Gere, don’t we? That was the same feeling in the small Sicilian town of Taormina when the Hollywood star arrived at the local film festival.

Hundreds of fans lined the streets to get a glimpse of the 65-year-old actor, who was wearing a loose white shirt and black sunglasses. But he couldn’t hide that signature silver fox hair!

He waved to the crowd as he walked to the venue. Richard isn’t starring in any movies showing at the festival but is teaching an acting class during its run.

He is, however, starring in Franny, a new movie that will debut at another film festival, the Edinburgh International, on Sunday. It is about a philanthropist who meddles in the lives of newly-married couples in an attempt to relive his past, and so far is garnering stellar reviews.

Here’s some pics of Richard looking very casual and cool below, plus a trailer of his latest film. Will you be going along to see it?
