The Danish royal family is officially in holiday mode, as these photos show. Looking relaxed and happy, Prince Henrik and Queen Margrethe II smiled and waved from the steps of Grasten Palace as they observed the changing of the guards with their extended family.
While the Queen’s husband opted for trackies and a jumper, Princess Mary looked beautiful as ever, as did her Crown Prince charming.
However, Mary was almost outshone by her youngest child, Princess Josephine who, along with her twin brother Vincent, is just cute as a button these days.
The family was watching the changing of the guard but the twins seemed more interested in the royal dachshunds who sniffed around, oblivious to the proceedings.
Princess Josephine continues to wear a cast after breaking her arm while horse riding with her family in Denmark nearly two weeks ago.
The twins have two older siblings, Prince Christian, nine, and Princess Isabella, eight, and while the whole family is just beautiful, the four-year-olds are at such a fun age, letting their personalities shine through.
At the Grasten Horse Parade, the little prince and princess were only too happy to hand bouquets of flowers to the horse riders, although for Josephine, it was the first time she had come face to face with horses since her accident.

Aren’t they just divine? We’re so proud of our half-Aussie princes and princesses!
