Original Bond girl shows Cannes how it’s done

Jane Seymour has graced the red carpet in Cannes with poise and timeless style, appearing in two stunning dresses so far: a clinging fishtail black number worn with a sophisticated updo and glittering neckpiece; and a daring strapless gown for the opening night.

In 1973 Ms Seymour played Solitaire opposite Roger Moore in the James Bond film Live and Let Die. She was ranked as one of the top 10 Bond Babes in 2009.

Ms Seymour went on to appear in numerous films and telemovies, including Oh Heavenly Dog with Chevvy Chase. Her later work as Dr Michaela “Mike” Quinn in the TV show Dr Quinn: Medicine Woman earned her a second Golden Globe award, after receiving one for the TV adaptation of the John Steinbeck novel, East of Eden. The British actor holds an Order of the British Empire.

Ms Seymour has just finished working on three films, Scout, Bereave and Highly Strung, and TV series Jane the Virgin.

In addition to an ongoing acting career, Jane Seymour has written many self-help and children’s books. She has married four times and has four children.
