Putting on a good movie can be a great way to relax and unwind on weekends. With so many genres and titles to choose from it’s always satisfying being able to sit back and be entertained for a few hours by a gripping story, fleshed out and well-rounded characters and a usually feel good ending.

But some movies can just end up being a headache to watch and up the stress levels. Suspenseful movies with too many twists and turns, abrasive characters who annoy you to no end, confusing and poorly executed special effects and worst of all: incomprehensible plot-lines that make no sense and end with more questions than you started with!

Have you got a movie you just cannot stand? What’s your pick for the worst movie you’ve ever seen and why?

  1. The Pink Panther Movie with Peter Sellers. It was a long time ago but it was so bad that my friends & l walked out of the cinema

  2. Attacķ of the killer tomatoes. I fail to understand why anyone would wast the resources making it.

  3. There are so many, but Midnight Cowboy was so depressing, all these years later can still feel that depression when I think of that movie

  4. Aloha actually left me confused, angry and slightly dumber. Not sure how something like that happens – only thinking I could come up with was to assist the local Hawaiian film industry.

  5. Dr Zhivago…very beautifully filmed but sooooooo depressing!

  6. Two come to mind: John Wayne playing Genghis Khan in The Conqueror (1956) with that distinctive drawl in his voice that was so out of character it was laughable. In fact the whole movie was grossly mis-cast. And Tony Curtis as Englishman Myles Falworth in The Black Shield of Falworth (1954) speaking with that Bronx accent. HaHaHa.

  7. A group of us went to see” Funny People” and between sex and the f word which the movie seemed to be based around we got up and walked out disgusted. Don’t mind both those in a movie in a right context, but these were there constantly. P.S. Left and enjoyed a cup of coffee and as we go to a lot of movies just laughed as this was the first one we had had to walk out on.

  8. The Case of the Smiling Stiffs. Anyone else remember it? Just awful!!!!!

  9. The piano, it was absolutely the worst movie ever….
