Ladies, get excited! No matter whether you loved or hated the Fifty Shades of Grey trilogy, this information will get you a little curious…

On June 18th this year, Author EL James will release a new book (published by Alfred A. Knopf) that gives us all an exciting insight into the other side of Fifty Shades of Grey.

A new novel, Grey, will be published and released telling the story from his own side!

“Readers know Christian as someone who exercises control in all aspects of his life,” read the press release announcing the news. “His world is neat, disciplined, and empty—until the moment that Anastasia Steele stumbles into his office. What is it about her that captivates him? Why can’t he forget her? He is swept up in a storm of emotion he cannot comprehend and cannot resist”.

“There are two sides to every story,” writes James, “It’s been a great pleasure to return to my happy place—writing, being with Christian and Ana in their universe”.

  1. Who cares – it is garbage!

    • Not necessarily true Ruth. There is easily enough publicity and comments about them to know what they are about and to know they’re garbage without having to read them.

    • Kaylene
If your opinion on something relies on what someone says rather than on personal experience, then in my opinion, your opinion doesn’t count.
Especially when I have heard rave reviews from different people about these books and the movie.
If one is going to rely on other peoples opinions, then they should listen to all sides.

  2. I am an avid reader, have been all my life. I did read the books and I can give a very informed opinion that this is the WORST writing it has been my misfortune to read. The storyline (if that’s what you can call it), is hardly worth even Mills and Boon.

    • Oh but it was soooooo lusty.. just what one needs on a cold night with a glass of wine and a whip… Chill Pill love! 🙂

  3. It has no appeal to me but I am sure many others will get enjoyment from it..give me a good scifi Novel any day

  4. They make call this fuss about this book. I read many many years ago ALL the DRUM books. Explicit, yes. Great story , yes. There have
been far better reading than this. Not even interested. Heard lots of negative reports . ( my opinion only)

    • I actually loved those Drum books. Admittedly I was a lot younger and my tastes have changed. LOL

    • They were great. We’re so many. I used to read them on the tube on my way to work in London. Long long ago. Also Angelique series. Read a lot then. Boring journey.

  5. I have read the lot but started to get bored by the third one, whether it will keep me interested is another thing but I will no doubt get it out from the library.

  6. No. I really didnt see any value in the first book. I admit to being a lifelong bibliophile and have become very picky in terms of reading material.

  7. Wow Ruth Hourigan! Well said! I rarely follow the opinions of others, I have a tendency to think outside of the box.
