John Mellencamp and Christie Brinkley the poster kids for dating at 60…together

We all know it and love it!  Could John Mellencamp and Christie Brinkley at 64 and 61 be finding their own Jack and Diane moment – at the other end of the cycle from this song?  Will Mellencamp create a new set of music to reflect the later love of his life? Will Brinkley settled down with another musician for another phase of her life?

The pair have been caught out on a date again, this time in New York’s west village.  Ripped jeans and leather was Brinkley’s attire of choice, and Mellencamp chose to wear glasses on his head, in an odd looking way, keeping his rockstar cool in a simple sweater and jeans according to press reports.

They’ve been a watching brief for the media since they started dating in what seems to be mid September.  There’s been numerous sightings and press moments in public.  Both have had decades in the public eye and significant relationships that have ended long ago.  Christie Brinkley is famously Billy Joel’s Uptown Girl.  Mellencamp meanwhile is said to have been in a 3 year relationship with Meg Ryan as recently as a year ago.
