Ticket giveaway: a gripping true story from the Golden Age of Hollywood

We’re hearing amazing things about Bryan Cranston and Helen Mirren’s performances in Trumbo, with both scoring Golden Globe nominations for their work, and Cranston now in the running for an Academy Award.

This gripping drama takes us back to 1947, when the successful career of prolific screenwriter Dalton Trumbo came to a crashing to an end when he – alongside many other Hollywood figures – were blacklisted for their political beliefs.

Trumbo tells the amazing true story of his fight against the US government and studio bosses in a war over words and freedom, which entangled everyone in Hollywood from Hedda Hopper (Mirren) and John Wayne to Kirk Douglas and Otto Preminger.

.
With an all-star cast including Bryan Cranston, Helen Mirren, Diane Lane and John Goodman, Trumbo is a witty, spirited leap back into the Golden Age of Hollywood, and an insight into the man behind some of the era’s most beloved films.
