About the author
Hilary Bell is a graduate of the National Institute of Dramatic Art, the Australian Film, Television and Radio School, and the Juilliard Playwrights’ Studio. She writes in many different areas including stage, fiction, radio, screen, and theatre. In 1996 she jointly won the 1996 Aurealis Award for best young-adult novel with her novel, Mirror, Mirror which is an adaption of the 1995 television show which for which she was a writer. She has also won awards for her work as a playwright; the Philip Parsons Young Playwrights Award, the Jill Blewitt Playwrights’ Award, the Bug’n’Bub Award, the Eric Kocher Playwrights’ Award, the 2007 Inscription Award, and an AWGIE award.

About the illustrator
After finishing her degree in Architecture, Antonia Pesenti moved to Paris to take up a position at Ateliers Jean Nouvel. 8 years later, and after working for Agence Philippe Starck, she moved back to Sydney, after being awarded a French urban research grant. Her work in Paris ranged from countless design competitions, boutique hotels, restaurants museum projects and exhibition design… these types of projects remained the focus of her work as a freelance designer in Sydney. Antonia is also a prolific illustrator, her distinctive images can be seen in many Australian and international magazines.
