Billy Joel marries in surprise ceremony
We best know him in a relationship with Christie Brinkley, but Billy Joel has long since moved on with Alexis Roderick.
Famous not only for his music but for his 4th of July parties, Billy surprised his guests – not with a musical performance, but with a wedding ceremony!
According to CNN, Joel, 66, and Roderick, 33, have been together since 2009 and are expecting their first child very soon.
In a touching message, his former wife Christie posted her congratulations to her ex-husband and his new wife on Instagram:
Billy Joel’s daughter Alexa Ray was in attendance, as well as other close family and friends.
The ceremony was held at the groom’s Long Island estate and was presided over by New York Governor Andrew Cuomo who is a close friend.
And this isn’t the only big thing he has celebrated this week: Billy played his 65th show at Madison Square Garden on Wednesday.
