  1. No, too cold in Victoria. Love Queensland, we have warm weather for 9 months a year. I left Vic 40 odd years ago, love to visit but not to live.

  2. Looks very nice. Retired to our 20 acre farm 10 years ago and would find it very hard to live in such a confined area. Maybe in another 10 years it might be good.

  3. @Where is Beswick – wouldn’t have known what state until I saw the phone number at the bottom or did I just miss something?

  4. Would the owners/operators ever sell the estate as a whole and kick ALL residents out…..contract or no contract?

  5. It would be good if the article actually said where they were. What state? Saying they are near Berwick doesn’t help people who read the article. They could be anywhere.

  6. My wife and myself have been residing at The Hume Country Retirement Resort for the past five years. This is more a lifestyle to us as we come and go as we please. We do a fair bit of house sitting all over Australia. We find that when we leave our unit it is safe and secure and lawns and gardens are done on a regular basis. We have many friends in the village and make heaps of friend on our house sits. We love this lifestyle.
Prices are reasonable and you definitely do not have to be a millionaire to live here.
So if any one is looking for a reliable couple to house sit please free to contact Glenys or myself.
We have police checks and excellent references,
Are non smokers and love animals.
