She’s an Oscar winner who can sing, dance and act, and it looks like Nicole Kidman can add garden guru to her list of talents.
Most keen gardeners would agree there’s nothing quite like the satisfaction of cutting your own homegrown flowers and displaying them in a pretty vase to admire, and Nicole is no different.
The 51-year-old shared a gorgeous photo of her homegrown roses with her Instagram followers Saturday, showing off the last of her summer crop.
In the photo, Nicole is seen literally stopping to smell the roses and burying her face in the colourful bouquet.
The stunning floral arrangement featured a selection of red, pink and white roses all grown in her home garden.
The peek inside her garden is just the latest in a series of photos and videos Nicole has shared of her home. While the actress is careful not to reveal too much of her properties in Nashville and Sydney, which she shares with her husband Keith Urban and two daughters Sunday Rose, 10, and Faith Margaret, 7, Nicole has offered fans a glimpse into her private life on the odd occasion.
Snaps on her Instagram show her two fat, fluffy cats lounging around the house as well as small snippets of her elegantly decorated homes.
In July, she shared a video of a small section of her garden and pool as she battled to capture a giant tarantula that had found its way into her backyard.
The Moulin Rouge! star got close to the spider as she tried to catch it, with her daughters heard squealing in the background.

At one point, one of her girls was heard yelling, “Get back, mum!” before the other proudly proclaimed “It’s a tarantula isn’t it, mum!”. It appeared Nicole had no problems wrangling the giant spider into a jar, as in the next shot she was seen holding up her handiwork and saying, “I’m having to take care of this spider, help!”.
She posted with the caption: “House guest! Catch and release…spider released unharmed and healthy Happy Sunday.”
When she’s not catching spiders or up to her elbows in garden dirt, the actress is found walking the red carpet to promote her various film and television projects, or attending Hollywood parties and fashion shows.
This week, the star donned one of her most vibrant outfits yet at the Michael Kors New York Fashion Week runway show.
Nicole opted for a timeless style with ruffled long sleeves and a high neckline, managing to look effortlessly radiant in the black-and-white polka dot frock with bright yellow flowers littered from head to toe.
The actress is also on the promotional trail for her latest movie, Boy Erased. The film also stars Russell Crowe and tells the story of an evangelical family struggling to come to terms with the revelation their son is gay.
