As a child, Christmas is a dazzling display of tinsel, fairy lights and fun presents from Santa, when writing your letter to Santa and actually getting exactly what you asked for was a thrill.
Who could forget that feeling of opening up a gift and realising it was the toy you really, really wanted – not necessarily something expensive, but something you’d set your heart on.
Even as an adult, there are certain gifts that we remember as meaning more than others – a gift from someone special or something you had desired but couldn’t afford.
