“Why” we just built YOU (the over-60s of Australia) a travel company

Sixty has never been a more exciting time in life. There are no rules for how you live life in semi-retirement and retirement anymore, only wonderful stories of how others are doing it and great learnings from your peers as they create their own 60-plus adventure.

And we think travel is the greatest part.  That’s why from this week, Starts at 60 brings you our new, full-service travel agency and a team that builds holidays just for you under our brand, Travelat60.com. It’s the latest, most exciting evolution of the Travel at 60 operation and we want you to take advantage of the new services built just for you!

We started Travel at 60 two years ago, knowing you wanted travel inspiration. You embraced it!

We then built a travel marketplace where you could find great deals from all kinds of suppliers and companies online. You loved it!

But we were conscious that we were sending you to a whole lot of different travel retailers, where you may not have been getting the dedicated service or value you deserve, and that you couldn’t easily buy a trip online or call someone you know and trust in order to make a booking.

Meanwhile, no one was bringing everything together in one place, online, that you could trust.  And noone was trying to solve the problem of bringing options for solo travellers and for travellers looking to find a group of likeminded people to travel with.

So we’ve taken the enormous step of opening a call centre packed with experienced travel agents, all here in Brisbane, who are now contracting and packaging great travel deals just for you!

We’ve launched a new website this week at travelat60.com, a new call centre that’s waiting for your call, a whole HEAP of new travel packages – all while working with all the best operators and partners in travel.

We’ve also launched a new version of our travel marketplace to give our travel partners the power to bring hot deals to you quickly, on pages that explain the holidays in much greater detail. Now you can get a quote and buy your holiday easily, with the option of talking to a travel agent at any step of the process.

3. Travel at 60 Exclusives – We’re working to build “exclusive” value offers for our Starts at 60 Club members that you just won’t be able to find anywhere else. It will add up. From spectacular moments that money can’t buy like champagne on top of the Great Wall of China on our upcoming China tour; or onboard credit offers on cruise ships that others can’t offer. Trips to Graceland with negotiated moments; and backstage meet and greets to amazing concerts with fly + stay packages.
