Where’s the WiFi?

Mar 30, 2014

I become really pissed off when I have to pay such high prices to access the internet.

In most overseas countries, WiFi is free. When I was in Indonesia, even the smallest village in the most remote part of the country, had free WiFi.

Why can’t a supposedly modern country like Australia have this?

We pay through the teeth for mobile phone access, especially out in the sticks where I live. We pay heaps more for a pathetically small data allowance, which I might add, is very unstable out here as well.

Telstra is the only carrier with any coverage and they are as good as useless most times.

Maybe it is different in the city…maybe it is cheaper. Maybe I am just kidding myself that this is true.

So, all you Telcos out there, why don’t you give us a fair go and let us have free WiFi?

Ohh… joy this week. Our local Target has free WiFI! I will have to go park out the front and use their data. I am sure they won’t mind…..

Enough rant for now.. I do feel better.. 🙂
