The coolest convertible camper you’ve ever seen 64

Travelling on the great open road is a thrill that is second to none. Imagine getting into your camper of a night and sitting down for dinner as you watch the sunset through the wall.

Wait, what? Through the wall? Oh yes. We must explain…through pictures!

This is the coolest convertible camper we’ve seen. It completely changes the game – you don’t need a boxy steel camper with hardly any room to breathe! No, you can have a small camper that converts into an airy space that allows you to look up at the stars whilst indoors.

Doesn’t it have a great retro feel? This mobile home is called De Markies and it was an entry in the “Temporary Living” competition 1985 and was conceived as a mobile home. On the road, it measures 2.00 m by 4.50 m, and once it has arrived at its destination its floorspace can be increased threefold in a matter of seconds.

Me and the dog would spend the rest of our lives just driving around Australia.
