Despite having one of the most serious jobs going, one police department proved that cops still know how to have a good time as they showed off their best dance moves in an hilarious lip sync battle video.
The four and a half minute clip shows a group of officers letting their hair down as they dance their way through their police station, miming along to hit pop song Uptown Funk by Mark Ronson ft. Bruno Mars.
Thanks to their impressive moves, the video has been viewed more than 48 million times, as well as receiving 1.2 million likes on Facebook and it seems people can’t get enough of it as it has been shared 1.3 million times.
And even more impressive is the fact that the video was recorded in just one take.

Police officers from Norfolk Police Department, in Virginia, USA, recorded the viral video in response to a challenge from a rival station – and the cops even roped in first responders, fire fighters and even the bomb squad to take part in the funky video.
One officer can even be seen holding a baby in his arms as he sings and dances along to the tune in the station’s car park, while the ambos and fire engines can be seen flashing their red and blue lights.
Special ops officer Christopher Tavares has become the star of the viral video, as he appears front and centre throughout, with colleagues claiming it was down to his resemblance to the American singer.
They were challenged to take part in the challenge by officers from Corinth Police Department, in Texas, whose video set to Miley Cyrus’ Party in the USA also went viral. The video is the latest in a string of viral video challenges. Previously, police forces across Australia and New Zealand went head to head in a series of running man challenges which saw cops in the Northern Territory trump their competition by using a live croc in their clip.
